EQT Real Estate II has completed the sale of 417 rental apartments in Flemingsberg, Stockholm County, to Acer Bostad, and has agreed to sell a further 388 apartments currently under construction. The development comprises a total of 805 rental apartments with a total lettable area of approximately 27,500 sq m. The apartments currently under construction are expected to be completed in 2027.
The residential development is located within Campus Flemingsberg, a major hub for education, healthcare and research, with direct transport links to central Stockholm. The area brings together approximately 27,000 students and several educational and research institutions, including Karolinska Institutet, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Södertörn University, the Swedish Red Cross University, the Stockholm University College of Music Education and the police training programme. “EQT has developed a high-quality, energy-efficient residential project with an attractive design and a strong location, situated within Campus Flemingsberg and within walking distance of a major transport hub. This gives us confidence in the investment’s long-term prospects. The acquisition therefore represents a significant addition to our portfolio and further strengthens our position in Stockholm’s residential market. Following completion of the transaction, Acer will own approximately 2,400 apartments and 106,000 sq m in the Stockholm area, including projects under construction,” says Samir Taha, CEO of Gordion Capital and operating partner to Acer Bostad.
